....is the theme for this weeks Funky Fairy challenge set by Jozza ^.^
'LONG TALL SALLY
Make something tall and skinny (like I want to look). It can be anything you like as long as it is long and slim.'
Here is my long, tall 'hangy thingy' (see Shaz...I told you they'd catch on!! ^.^)
We are about to embark on our annual birthday run of 11 family birthdays in 5 weeks!!!! One of which will be my eldest DD's 18th! By the time we get to the last one, I think we're all pretty glad we don't need any more birthday cake until September ^.^
Anyway...this is for Emily (she'll be 13) ...I thought I'd make it instead of a card x
I have used a new set of papers from Funky Fairy's papercrafts - 'Girls' - to be released soon ^.^
Jo has also included blog candy with this to mark setting her first challenge! The only stipulation to winning the blog candy is that your card (or crafty creation) MUST be made for this challenge only...it can't be for anyone elses.
Everyone who enters, by the deadline of 6pm on Sunday the 6th April, will have their name put into a hat and Jo's DD Abbi will pick a winner. Good luck x

I made two different sized dresses that I covered in papers from the Funky Flowers range...then made ickle aprons from vellum, printed with the daisy flowers from the Meadow range. To finish I've added 2 crystal brads to each, self adhesive stones and bows :o)

Purple
Week 99!! of Florrie's ATC challenge was set by Simon this week and he chose the theme of Purple!
Soooo...purple it most definitely is!! ^.^
The background is Dusty Concorde on a glossy card base...then the lady has been stamped with Royal Purple Stazon.
I have edged the ATC again with Stazon, then a gem brad and bow added to finish it off.
Watch out for this Friday's challenge as it will be a special one for week 100!!! ^.^

Beautiful and Bright...
...is the theme this week from Leonie, who has started a new ATC challenge on her blog called ...Fab Friday! ^.^
Now I have to be honest again, as I still don't actually know who these papers are made by. They were sent to me as part of a fabby prize from Sugar Nellie, a little while back.
Anyway...they have been layered, having torn the top one. I have then doodled a running stitch round the edge
The large flower has been inked with pink chalk ink and a brad added for a center, then the butterfly put carefully on the edge of the petal to finish.

Cut Up Your Cards!!!!!!!!!
I set the challenge today for the Funky Fairy weekly challenge! ^.^
And this week I decided to get scissor happy *.*
'Not so long ago we had our scissors confiscated, life was tough! ...now you need them for sure! This weeks challenge is to 'Cut up Your Cards' ... literally!!! *.* Anyway you want to, just so long as it's been cut! Oh but...please be careful with those scissors in all the excitement!' ^.^
I have made two cards...
The first one has been sliced diagonally, and then the cut piece has been turned and used as a pocket for the tag...
The second is a twisting cut frame type card!
There are heaps of new FREE papers on the 'Inspiration' blog and a link to even more freebies!

Easter...
I've been a busy little bee today, and haven't even been on the forum!! Shock! ^.^
I did however go on a quick blog walk earlier, with cup of tea in hand, and nipped onto the forum challenge blog.
Shaz, has set this fortnight's Fat Book Challenge and the theme is...Easter!
I decided to go with the traditional side of Easter as I adore this stamp image... Thanks Shaz x

Pink, Pink and More Pink!!!
The challenge theme from My Time To Craft this week is 'Tickled Pink'! 'This week's challenge is - Ticked Pink! So add plenty of pink to your projects!'
So, while I was getting messy with inks for the Sunday Stampers challenge I decided to make some pink mess!! *.*
The large tag's background is a mixture of Pink Brilliance and 'Worn Lipstick' pink distress ink...then the flourishes stamped with Fuchsia Pink Stazon. I have doodled a running stitch round the edge in a pink Gelly Roll pen.
The small tag has been stamped with a Bella image and coloured with pink chalk. I've then coloured Bella with pink Sakura pens, and smudged the edge of the tag with a pink chalk ink pad and again, the pink running stitch. Oooh...and not forgetting pink eyelets and pink organza ribbon!!! ^.^
I hope that my pink tag, on pink tag, will be pink enough for the pink challenge!!! *.*

Oriental...
The challenge on Sunday Stampers this week is 'Oriental'. I have to confess that this theme is always a challenge to me anyway!! ^_^
The photo doesn't really help my case either I'm afraid, as the background has Galaxy Gold Brilliance wiped randomly over the Fired Brick distress ink, and Galaxy Gold Oriental butterflies stamped on too...but you can't see it! In the flesh, it does actually break the red up, so you'll need your imagination for this one!! ^.^

Furry Friends!
Florrie's ATC Challenge on Craftswap this week was set by Shazza... and the theme is 'Furry Friends' ^.^
I have used some of my favourite furry friends...the House Mouses!!!
The background has been 'splodged' with a yellow chalk ink pad, and the image stamped with Jet Black Stazon.
I've then added a bit of colour to their hats and candles with Brilliance ink pads. The lickle one in the corner is the same image stamped onto Shrink Plastic and again the hats and candles coloured as before. I have gone round the edge with the pink Brilliance to finish it ^.^

Hidden Spring!
Well, I've finally finished it!! My first ever...'Hidden Depths' ...the brand new challenge from Simon on Craftswap Forum!
The challenge is here...the theme is 'Springtime'
The inside...
This was white cardstock cut and folded per the instructions given by Simon. The inside was covered with Brilliance ink pads, then rubbed with a cotton wool ball to give the high sheen. The images have been stamped on using Timber Brown Stazon.
The outside has been covered with two designs from the Funky Fairy 'Meadow' range of papers and a piece of organza ribbon is tied round to finish it off ^.^

In with the Old!!!
The Funky Fairy Challenge this week was set by our lovely Funky Fairy herself...Shaz ^.^
This weeks challenge is as follows
In with the OLD
Out with the new
Create an Item
That's just for YOU
Go through your stash
That you've had packed away
And fetch out those Goodies
To have a little play! :)
Well, off I went for a rummage in the depths of my craft room!! Not too deep mind, or I might not have got back in time!! *.*
I found some gift boxes that hadn't seen the light of day for a long time and gave one a 'makeover'!
The papers are from the 'Do Ya Doodle' range from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts...
I also found some mobile phone lariats and good old shrink plastic ...and made some Funky Fairy phone charms!

Flower Power...
This weeks challenge on My Time To Craft is Flower Power!!
'Use flower embellishments, rubber stamps, perhaps floral paper, or anything you can think of to do with flowers.'
I'm actually quite pleased with this, as quite often when I triple emboss, I get right to the stamping bit and it goes ermm...'pear shaped' !!!
Anyway...it worked out ok'ish'! ^.^
The base is glossy photo paper coated with Nick Bantock's Chrome Yellow...( I have to confess I prefer Nick's ink pads for this as I find it dries quicker) ... I've then wiped Jade Brilliance ink across the other way, making a chequered effect and stamped the daisy images randomly over the top in Yellow Brilliance. The topper is made from mountboard...embossed once using a Versamark ink pad and clear UTEE, then Jade Brilliance and another layer of clear UTEE and a final Versamark and UTEE layer. As soon as the top layer had melted I stamped the daisy image into it, having first inked it with Brilliance.I have mounted it onto foam pads for a bit of dimension... added the Happy Birthday words and a piece of yellow organza ribbon to finish it off. I have taken another picture, in better light, as the other one is a bit dark ^.^

DIY
The Fat Page challenge on Craftswap Forum this week was set by Vanessa...who chose to DIY it!!!
'Do something yourself on your fat page, i.e. handwrite your own message/sentiment, do a little bit of doodling or a little drawing! It doesn’t matter how little or how much!'
Well...I can copy draw things like cartoon and animated characters...ie look at a picture and copy it larger or smaller, but I can't in any way just draw things off the top of my head...so's to speak! So I decided to go for the 'simple side of life' !!
The backing paper is from the FREE 'Blue' download kit from Funky Fairy's...to which I have added flourishes from Autumn leaves and doodled round them. The flowers I have made using 2 sizes of the daisy paper punches in the same blue paper and also green from the free green set. These have been layered and doodled round too...oh...and the same with the leaves ^.^

The backing paper is another gorgeous design from Raspberry Road Designs, and the stamp is from Stamposaurus ... one of two named 'Ladies in Hats' ^.^
These were stamps given to me by a dear friend, who is sadly no longer with us...this is for Tracy...miss you xxx

Men.......
This week the Sunday Stamper challenge is Men/Man......
The Sunday Stampers challenge is to... ''Make a card, ATC, Fat Page, Moo, Skinny, tag...in fact, just whatever you wish....but you must use an image of a man or of men.''
I've made a fat page using wood veneer as the main background...Yes, REAL wood ...and stamped the image using Stazon. The wording is also stamped, and the outside edge of the page has been inked with a Charcoal fluid chalk inkpad.
I have used two pieces of Stampbord and covered it using a mixture of Charcoal and Chestnut Roan chalk ink... Stamped part of the images and using silicon glue, stuck them in place.
