Time Flies - IndigoBlu Demonstrator Inspiration

Time Flies......but we still remember them.

This month's IndigoBlu Challenge theme is 'Time Flies'
November is here...and as it's Remembrance Sunday this coming weekend, I thought it fitting to make something with that in mind.

Poppies are also one of my favourite flowers, and as IndigoBlu have quite a few stamp designs with Poppies, the tough bit was choosing which one to use! I settled with 'Poppy Meadow' ...a beautiful set of stamps.
The background: Mdf clock cog,
1) Coat with IndigoBlu Black Gesso,
2) Using Slap It On to adhere, cover with a sheet of paper from our 12 x 12  Vintage Memories Mixed Media Paper set . 3) Swipe over with a wash of watered down Hot Cocoa, and leave it to dry, thoroughly.
4) Using Ink Splats - go around the edge using Archival Sepia and Archival Black inks.
5) Stamp the poppy onto IndigoBlu smooth cardstock...colour and cut out.
6) Add the Poppy to the clock background. Also the wording and soldier.
7) Using an image from Industrial Lamps - stamp onto the base and add some yellow and orange distress ink colours.
8) Add the mechanism and hands x

The fabulous winner’s prize this month is your choice of IndigoBlu stamps.  As always, you have 3 options to choose from:

1:   2 Large stamp plates
or
2:   4 Small stamp plates
or
3:   1 Large and 2 small plates
There’s also the Winner’s Badge, and one for the Top 3, to display proudly on your blog, and the WINNER of the challenge will also be invited to do a GUEST SPOT on a future Challenge Launch post. That’s right, your work will be on the Challenge Blog alongside the Design Team!
Also the Top Three each month (chosen by our lovely DT) will all be invited to do an inspiration piece to be included on the new reminder post that now goes live mid challenge. So, if you’d like a chance to be featured on the IndigoBlu Challenge Blog get those stamps out and get creating!

Alter It!!

Well, here we are...Wednesday again!! And a much different Wednesday to last week...Autumn is definitely here!
This weeks challenge with the Funky Fairy's involves a rummage!!! Yep...this week we'd like you to go on a rummage and find one of those many things that you saved for a rainy day, (come on...I know you must have LOADS!! ) and make it into something !!! Our theme...Alter It!
My project for this week started it's life as a Mama's & the Papa's CD!! It was £1 from Tesco's and sounds like it too!! I love the M&P's...but the sound on this was just awful...so here it is now! Oh and it sounds much different...just a gentle 'tick tock' can be heard!! :)

Tick Tock, Shabby Clock....

I just loved making this...

I've used Funky Meets Shabby Chic and Funky's Garden papers from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts.
The base circles are CDs...so my beloved Crop-a-dile was needed to make the holes. The Cds were covered with Shabby Chic papers and then heart images from the Stampin' Up! 'Doodle That' collection, were randomly stamped over both in coordinating colours.

The two CDs have been joined using an old dungaree clip and attached with a 'Round Tab' punched out shape from Stampin' Up!
I've then added organza ribbon.

I've used elements from the Funky's Garden collection on the clock along with a Penny Black butterfly, which has been stamped and glittered using Stampin' Up! 'Heat and Stick' and Dazzling Diamonds glitter...then finished with flowers, brads -which have been dotted with a white pen- and liquid pearls.

The second CD has been finished with a water coloured 'Sweet Ebony' image, more flowers and brads and completed with a little silver hat which dangles from a chain attached by more ribbon.

Wedding Clock

I was just filing some recent photo's
and realised I hadn't put the last of the clocks that I made on here. This was given to my FIL and step MIL when we went to visit on New Years Day.
Making it also made me remember that I've still to finish their wedding album from August!!!!!!! It'll be a 1st Anniversary gift by the time it's finished...Oooops!

Where Does Time Go???

Answer... To friends and family

I made a CD clock a while ago and am now completely hooked! Only thing was, I hadn't got any more 'old' CDs...so I've used Mountboard instead.
