IndigoBlu - Demo Inspiration - Winter Blues

Good morning! :)
This month's IndigoBlu Challenge theme is...Winter Blues.
A gorgeous colour way for this time of year, and this little collection of trees from Anna Marie Designs is a lovely touch, even if you're not one for a big tree or lots of decorations.
The trees are coated in IndigoBlu gesso ... Grandma's Teacup & Park Lane...then embossed using the Twinkle Star stamp.
The base also had a coat of Park Lane, and a smidging of Fine texture paste added to resemble snow.

Sleigh Bells Ring....

Well, here we are in the last full week of November!! Eeek!!
Anyone ready for December??!!  I'm so not...but I at least have a decorated sleigh! :)

The sleigh is from Tando Creative...'flat packed' and made from chipboard, and then I've altered it... inspired by the ultra talented, Mr Andy Skinner.

I have used many DecoArt Media Line paints, Crackle Glaze, Crackle Paint, Texture Paste,
Weathered Wood,
Tando Creative Sleigh, Merry Christmas, Stockings and stars...
IndigoBlu Script stamp,  Ruby Slippers paint...
Archival Sepia Ink pad...

"If You Don't Change It, It'll Stay The Same......."

Wow! It's a breezy day out there thanks to 'Barney's' visit! Who names these storms...and why do I automatically think of a purple dinosaur?? Haha

Anyway, here in the warm, I thought I'd share with you a Christmas lantern that I had a great time altering. It's inspiration came from a fantabulous weekend retreat in Coventry, with Andy Skinner/Michelle Webb and Tando Creations.

This started off life as a nice, cream coloured lantern from B&M. But...Pah...I don't want nice and clean...I wanted wicked and rusty!! :)

Before I got my hands on it ....

...And after!!!

Along the way I gesso'd it...
...added some texture paste...
... and ...
----

I also used 'Merry Christmas' wording and a 'Christmas stocking' from
Tando Creative x

Well...hope you like it. I thoroughly enjoyed making it :)

Let it Snow.....

Hello one and all and.... December!!!!! Free Userbars    Own up...who let December out to play this early in the year???  At least it hasn't been too cold yet...well...that was until the Challenge at IndigoBlu launched in November! Winking Emoticons
The theme of 'Let it Snow' cooled us all down and has given us an excuse to play in our craft rooms, with all those yummy IndigoBlu Christmas stamps, frosty looking metallic paints and snowy looking gesso!
I decided to use the gorgeous Rockin' Robin stamp this time...with vellum and embossing powder. I then brayered a layer of IndigoBlu Snow White metallic paint over the top...and coloured the robin in with Distress Ink... and the occasional swirl too. I put the ribbon through my printer to get the Let It Snow wording in a snowflake font  Free Avatars

Have a great weekend everyone...happy crafting x

A Christmas Cracker!!

Jak kindly sent the DT some of the new Cracker cards from La Pashe last week, and yesterday I got around to playing :)
Now...you know me...I'm a bit of an 'Out of the Box' kinda girl and they just shouted for me to 3D them!!
I've cut strips of red card to hold the cracker panels together...and made a 'box base' which I attached to the inside to act as a shelf so it can hold a treat.
I've used four of the 'stackers' from the Christmas Box CD...layered them up and used one on each side.

I've cut one of the window panes out of this one so it looks as if he's peeking inside the cracker...

...and used stackers from the CD on each side....

Hope you like it...and have a go yourselves. They'll make great gift boxes for Christmas! xx

Christmas Box...

The brand new CD from La Pashe is OUT!!! Yipppeee!! :)
You can watch it's TV launch with Jak on Create and Craft on Tuesday 24th Sept @ 11am & 6pm x

'Christmas Box' contains soooooo much!! Digi images...decoupage sheets...toppers...background papers...embellishments...gift tags...and more!!

I made this 'rocker' card with the gorgeously scrummy Gingerbread house design...and a mini tag rocker with the stackers.

♥~♥ Merry Christmas ♥~♥

Time went so fast yesterday that I didn't manage to get on here to post, so I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day and are enjoying Boxing Day x
We had a lovely family day here, with my mum, sister and her hubby too. Dad was very much missed in person, gee it was so strange without him, but he was never forgotten and with us in spirit. Emily and Katieann were away at their dad's too, so we'll just have to do Christmas all over again when they get back on Tuesday!! :)
Well, Kayleigh and Daisy are playing tennis on the Wii...George has finally given in and gone off for a well earned nap...and Mum is knitting...so I thought I'd nip on here quick :)

This is a card I made with the gorgeous December digi image from Elisabeth Bell...

Once In Royal David's City...

...Another of the totally gorgeous Christmas Carols from La Pashe. These are die cut decoupage and you get TWO different Carols per sheet. These can be made with a vintage or more contemporary feel to them, but either way they look great.

Lots of Sparkle....

Hi all...
I'm back from duvet land!!! I have had a grotty week with a grotty cold, and not even had the energy to craft!!! *Gosh*
So thinking I ought to put that to rights, here is a card that I have made this morning for the Cute Card Thursday challenge this week...whose theme is 'Lots Of Sparkle' ...
I made this using the 'Blue Christmas' papers from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts...but printed them onto a pearlised paper to give it extra sheen. The Nellie stamp is one that I won from Sugar Nellie at the beginning of the year...and she is sitting on a 'Funky Fence', which is a stamp also available from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts. Oh and of course...lots of Stickles :0)
