Winter Wonderland...

The challenge at Winter Wonderland this week is to 'stamp a candle or decorate a candle holder'!! Yay! I love doing these ^.^
I have used a gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp this time...and there are links to 'stamping' tutorials on the Winter Wonderland blog...but I quite often use digi images for my candles, so if you'd like a tutorial for using those, I have made one HERE ...

Doubling Up with Mo!

Hello! What a miserable old night!! The rain is pelting against the windows, and the wind is sounding a bit rough out there too! I'm glad I'm cosy in here! Mind you...if Mr Blogger does as he's asked...It'll be morning and I'll be at school when this goes out! :0)
Anyway...this week for Mo's challenge Caryn would like us to make a Christmas Scene using more than one image on our creations! You can paper piece these or use software to merge them.
I don't have any software to do the latter, so here is my card using Mo's fantabulous new 'Sticky' (again!! ;)) and her Decorated Tree...
I can't wait to see all your fabulous work ;)
Oooh and!!!! ...I'd just like to wish all my wonderful friends from across the pond...A Very Happy Thanksgiving xxx

Funky Changes...Part 2

It's getting closer to our Funky relaunch!! YaY!!
Just to keep you going, Lou has set a little competition over on the challenge blog!!

Something Yummy for YOU!!!!

THIS CANDY IS NOW CLOSED!!! :)
Yippeee!! At long last I have got my act together and sorted out some blog candy! Photobucket
I was going to do this when I got to 25,000 hits and my 2nd Blogoversary...which I might add came at about the same time at the beginning of October...but things have been hectic here and time ticked merrily on! I have now gone over 27,300 hits!!!!! So a huge thank you to every single one of you who has visited me...and a very special thanks to those of you who regularly follow me and leave messages...I really do appreciate them all!
Hopefully you can see most of what's there! I have included a brand new ( to you and the new Stampin' Up! catalogue!) eyelet border punch ... flowers, leaves, ribbons, K&Co paper pad, Papermania Christmas pad, Christmas tree ribbon brads, Stampin' Up! Ink spots, dew drops, clear stamps, stamp block, Rub ons etc...all brand new...but I have also added a Sugar Nellie Christmas Manga stamp. She is already backed with Ez mount and has been used a couple of times...but as I've only used her with a Momento ink pad, she's very clean and like new and I'm sure you'll love her all the same x There is also a little pack of Ferraro Rocher choccies!!!! ...They were hard to part with I can tell you!! lol
Now how do you get all of this? Well...
1) Would you please be kind enough to post on your blog (leaving the link in your post) and/or add a 'picture link' to your side bar back to this post...
2) Leave ONE comment on this post...

3) If you are one of my current 91 followers and leave a comment, you will be entered twice! If you feel that you like my work and want to follow me then I'll be pleased to have you on board...but I'm not going to insist that you follow...I'd rather you did, because you want to x
4) That's it!!!!!!!!

I'll leave this open until the 20th of November ...

All Change!!

There's no Funky Fairy challenge this week...but this is the news over on the Challenge Blog!!

"Things have been a little up & down in Funky Fairy land as several of our DT members have left us for pastures new . . . so we wish Ria, Lorraine, Emma, Anne & Joanne all the very best with their "Crafting Adventures" and we hope that they will still join in with us in future challenges.

Now we have exciting news to share with you all . . . a new look challenge blog . . . !

After much deliberation we have decided that we needed a "Winter Spring Clean" and therefore we will be radically over hauling the blog over the next week, so keep popping back as we will be dropping little hints as to what is happening to the blog and of course, there will be a few surprises too ! !

Taking the above into consideration, there will be no challenge this week but we will be back with avengence next week, Wednesday 24th November with a NEW CHALLENGE, a NEW BLOG and lots of NEW SPONSORS . . . don't panic the ever so generous Shaz (Head Funky Fairy) is still involved . . . so keep popping over . . . you never know what you might find !

Happy crafting,

Fab 'n' Funky DT"

Can't wait to see you there next week!!! :0)

Digi's for Layton...

Sadly Jak, a fantastic crafter and fellow 'Mo' team member, lost a family child of just 16 months, to the awful disease meningococcal septicaemia a few weeks ago. Jak is trying to raise funds and awareness to this horrific disease, and has a couple of really fabulous digi stamps made especially in Memory of Layton. One has been designed by Jim Harker and the other by Mo Manning...both are available for the price of £4.00 and all proceeds go to Meningitis Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign.

Allsorts...

This weeks challenge over at Allsorts is to make a card for a child. Now...I could be cheating a bit here, but in a normal land this would be an ideal card for a child! The fact that I made it for a dear friend of mine who is in the Fire Brigade , hopefully won't matter! lol

11-11-11

Today, the 11th day of the 11th month at 11 am, we will be remembering all those brave men and women who have lost their lives in war and conflict... both past and present.
I will also be thinking of, and praying for the safe return of my BIL, and two of my friends sons from Afghanistan xxx
We don't have to believe in it's purpose, but we need to believe in our troops...

Just to add...

WoW!!!
Have you seen ALL the many prizes on the Jaimie blog hop??!!!!!!
So many big name sponsors...AND I've spotted some candy along the hop too!!
Just take a look...

Just for Jaimie...

"On October 4th, four teenagers, armed with knives, broke into a home in a small town in New Hampshire. Alone and sleeping inside were a mother and her 11 year old daughter. These 4 boys broke into t
his home with the intent to rob and kill anyone inside. They stabbed the mom, Kimberly Cates, to death and left her daughter, Jaimie, for dead in their driveway. It was a completely random act, their home was chosen only due to its secluded surroundings."
You can read the full story here

Denise and Erin - the girls behind the Stamp Something challenges, have organised this very special blog hop in hope that we can all give a little bit of hope and love to a very special and brave little girl.
When Denise posted on 'Mo's Digital Pencil Too' group on SNR, the story just tugged at me and I knew I just had to take part! The injuries that Jaimie sustained that day were horrific...both physically and mentally, and to lose her Mum too! It must be so awful to lose a parent through illness or accident, but this was just such a senseless waste of life, and a living nightmare for Jaimie. I feel priviledged to have my parents in my life for as long as I have, I can only imagine the heartache for Jaimie and her family.

If this story tugs at you too, all the details to make and send a card for Jaimie are at the Stamp Something For Jaimie blog.
Jaimie's favourite colours are Hot Pink and black...but she's not a girly girl...so I thought that this was just the thing for her!
If you hopped here from Sharon's blog
then you're on the right path and you can hop along to Cindy's blog now ... but if you've just joined us here and missed the rest...do one large 'jump' back to Katharina, from Whiff of Joy's blog, to start at the beginning ... and I'll see you again soon!!
