The challenge over at 'Theme Thursday' this week is 'Letters of the Alphabet'...
'Use one or more letters of the alphabet on your creation this week! Use them on their own or use letters to make up a word!' ................
This fits nicely with the card I have made for my dear Mum for Mother's Day...which here in the UK is on Sunday 2nd March x
The green backing paper is from Raspberry Road designs, and I have to be honest...I'm not sure about the pink paper :0/
The letters are made of thick card, which I have coated in pink acrylic paint and edged with Fuchsia Pink Stazon. I have then doodled some flowers ...a technique taught to me by a wonderfully talented friend Linda...who also designs her own rubber stamps...they are available from here
The flower images are from the 'Doodles for Daniel' range, and have been stamped using Fuchsia Pink Stazon. I have 'dotted the dots' with contrasting colours of Liquid Pearls, then layered the two sizes and secured with brads. The card has been finished with two rows of ribbon x

Circles...
Over on Craftswap Forum, the theme chosen by Shaz, for Florries weekly ATC challenge this week is....Circles!
I have made mine using my new Stampin' Up 'Spot On' wheel for the background. ( I have just become a Stampin' Up demonstrator!! ^.^)
A bottle top with a piece of green card in the bottom, a layer of Diamond Glaze and a little white flower completes another circle... and tiny round flower gems dotted about, give a bit of texture to the base...and ribbon to finish ^.^

The 3D butterfly has been stamped onto glossy card covered with Nick Bantock's Turquoise ink.

Christmas Goodie Bags...
As some of you may know, it's Christmas Day for us! ...we are just off to my FILs, as are a few other family members.
As it's mainly for my BIL, who missed Christmas as he was overseas in December, we are not doing big pressies etc, but I thought I'd make a few little gift bags for the girlies. I know I'm going to have the men moaning but if they want 'Pinkie Pops' gift bags...I'll gladly make them one!!! ^.^
Yes...Joe is male, but he's only 11! ^.^
The papers used for the 5 bags are Pinkie Pops from Funky Fairy's...and the two others are from Raspberry Road Designs. The dotty alphabet is also from Funky Fairy and the pink heart alphabet is from Snowsmoon’s Design.

Time To Dance...
Well, I haven't had much time for that lately, but my ickle Daisy did a few weeks ago!! I took a number of pictures and thought that I'd do something with them one day ^.^
That day has arrived and I turned them into...a challenge effort...a competition entry and a Christmas pressie all in one!!
The challenge is this weeks Funky Fairy challenge set by Lulu ... 'For this weeks challenge I would like you to make a card, scrapbook page or brag book etc etc - around one photo or a small collection of photos (all of a similar theme). There must also be at least one piece of text / saying / phrase included in the project..............'
I'm not really sure you'd class it as a 'small' collection but they are all small and similar!! ^.^
I have also entered it into the Pinkie Pops competition...and it is a Christmas present for my B and SIL ...because it's Christmas on Saturday!!
I have used Pinkie Pops papers and the Pinkie pops small border stamp to go round the text. The text has been printed off of the computer and then heat embossed with Gossamer Pink powder.

Going Green!
My poor blog has been a bit neglected recently so I nipped in to give it a quick dust! ^.^
I've been a tad busy what with Christmas coming on Saturday, so haven't had much time to play. However... Katieann, had a friend's birthday party to go to after school today...on a Double Decker Play Bus!! ...so I made her a card earlier and as luck would have it...it was green!!
This will tie in wonderfully with the Arty Girlz challenge this week x
The papers are from the 'Meadow' range from Funky Fairy's papercrafts and also the matching funky flower fairy ^.^

Take Away Anyone????
The Funky Fairy week 7 challenge is to alter something!
I looked around my craft room and my eyes rested on a stack of plastic' take away' tubs! Sadly, no take away was involved... I just bought 12 for a pound ages ago! Very useful though for all sorts of bits and bobs...and they stack beautifully.
I emptied the contents out...in this one there were chipboard letters...printed off some 'Funky Flowers' papers and off I went...

Sunday Stampers - week 2
Sunday Stampers theme this week is Black and White. It's a challenge using inky and stampy ingredients! (I'm into this recipe lark a the moment, have you noticed?? ) ^.^
The base cardstock has been covered with paper from Raspberry Road Designs, to which I have smudged a Charcoal chalk ink pad around the edge...onto that I have put white linen effect card. On top of that is a piece of glossy card to which I have 'splodged' black alcohol ink.
The large dotty flower has been made with the 'Build a Flower' stamp kit from Funky Fairy's and the center flower (from doodles for daniel) has been stamped onto vellum and curled to match the large one. I have added tiny white beads to the middle of the small flower to finish it off.
The butterfly has been stamped and cut out twice, layered and curled also. Best Wishes has been stamped onto white card, matted onto black and stuck down with a piece of black and white spotty ribbon to finish the card off.

'This weeks challenge ladies is to throw out them scissors LOL,

Nellie's been Framed!!!
The Arty Girlz challenge theme this week is 'Frames'. So I framed my new Nellie that I won in the Sugar Nellie draw. ^.^
The papers, ribbons and big brads also came with the prize. I found the Sizzix scalloped frame in my tin of die cuts and that has been cut down and inked round the edge with a chalk ink pad in a matching colour.

Blooming Gorgeous Birthday!
This weeks Papertake challenge is 'Blooming Gorgeous'...and as the title suggests had to include floral embellishments.
I left it until now to put it on my blog because this was also for a friends birthday today...so hopefully she's now got it!
Happy Blooming Birthday Denize!!! ^.^
The little girl is Lola, a Sugar Nellie stamped image, which I've coloured with Sakura pens, then mounted on two layers of Bazill cardstock. The base card was white but has been covered with Cranberry and Denim Adirondack ink pad colours. I stuck down the layers and added a piece of ribbon and a couple of Prima flowers to finish.

One of my daughters had been invited to a party so I made a very quick and simple acceptance card.
I have doodled around the edge so thought I could use it for the Mid-Week DCM challenge too!

Ribbons and Rubbish!!!
Following on from the bottle top saga of last night...I had 10 minutes of fun this afternoon while Daisy was having a Playdoh moment!
Good job I wash the recycling well before putting it out as I needed a few more 'gifts' like the one OH gave me last night! I managed to retrieve another 7 can ring pulls and another baked bean ring pull !!!
All of the ring pulls have been heat embossed with 2 layers of coloured powders each...then had ribbons tied on. The large flower is the 'Build a Flower' from Funky Fairy, which has been stamped onto K&Co Dollshouse paper, cut out and arranged in two x 5 petal layers. The bottle top in the centre has a cut out flower and then a layer of Diamond Glaze added. After 20 mins drying time I added a pearl bead to the centre ...that way it didn't move about. The butterfly body is a stamped image of one of the petals from the same Build a flower kit...then the ring pulls added for wings ^.^
It's nothing special but it kept me out of trouble for a while

DCM - Red & White...
I have looked at a number of blogs this week that have 'Daring Card Makers' challenge cards on.
The theme of Red & White looked so striking that I thought I'd play along too...and for those who have read the post below...no...I didn't even bother, lol ^.^
The papers used on this are the new freebie Valentine papers from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts ...and are gorgeous...thanks Shaz x
The Funky Fairy stamped image has been embossed with red embossing powder from Heat it Up...and the egdes inked with a 'Lipstick Red' chalk ink pad.
I have embossed the two heart brads to match the colour of the fairy and mounted them on white linen effect cardstock also with a slight inked edge...The white Prima flower has a red snap in the centre and a ribbon bow added to finish it

His 'n' Hers!!!!
Inspired by my friend daisy, who has altered some bottle tops ... I decided to have a go myself as I've got a bag full of them!!
I made one to see what it came out like...and though I say so myself...I quite liked it!
Being pleased with it, I went off to show my OH and explained to him that I was going to put it on his Valentine's day card. Well! Being the comedian that he is...his strangely pulled face said it all really, but then he added...Why are you putting rubbish on my card??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He thought it was hilarious and added 'How on earth am I going to get you something just as....nice'???!!!!
Trying to explain to him how much thought goes into these things ...he stopped smirking and said 'Oh, OK, I'll bear that in mind...it's erm...lovely!' !!!
Rolling my eyes towards the ceiling I left him to it and wandered back to the comfort of my craft room.
Five minutes later he appeared saying that he wanted to show me what he was going to stick on my card...and added...I have brought you this to show you my love...and before you say anything, a lot of thought went into it as it's the last can of coke and I thought you would want to know we need some more!!!!!
There you have it...his 'n' hers valentine tops!!!
PS...since typing this...I have become the proud owner of a Pepsi Max bottle top, the pulled top of a baked beans can and a plastic cap from the top of the milk!!!
Me thinks someone is pushing their luck!!

Sunday Stampers...week1
Have finally done my card for this week...all that said...I'm not really sure I like it !!!
Promise to try harder next week x
I have taken a slightly textured white card base and smudged Tim Holtz Fired Brick and Nick Bantock's Rose Madder ink pads randomly over the card, then blended them by lightly wiping TH Tattered Rose over the top.
I've used an Autumn Leaves 'Flourish' stamp as a background, and also on the hearts...to which I've added ribbon to give the look of balloons. The 'Love' image from the Doodles for Daniel range has been coloured the same as the base card and I have edged both with a gold Krylon pen.
There we go...and I have to say the card is looking much better this morning now it's dried out...but the picture looks VERY bright!!! Doh!!!
I'll try and get a better one later!
I've changed the picture now...but it's still not a good image...I think I'll just give up with it now ^.^

Rags for Ryan x
I've been wanting to have a play with Rags since he arrived here in the week...and tonight I got the perfect reason!! A birthday ATC for the 5th birthday of a friends' son.
Here he is...I have wiped Chrome Yellow and Deep Turquoise ink, from Nick Bantock ink pads , along with Fired Brick from Tim Holtz, randomly over a blank ATC...then wiped TH's Old Paper distress ink over the whole thing. I flicked water sparingly, and then dried it off.
The image of Rags...has been stamped on using Jet Black Stazon, as has Happy Birthday (from Stamping Bella) ...and a few of his hearts and patches coloured with Sakura Gelly Roll pens. I have spritzed all over the ATC with Scarab Beetle Glimmer Mist...added a doodled on border and his name in epoxy lettering.
There we have it...the first of many encounters with Rags the adorable teddy from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts!

WoooooHoooo!!
My 'Not So' Secret Recipe!
I was asked if I'd set the Fat Book Challenge on Craftswap Forum for this fortnight, so I decided we would have a recipe this time...but no...not a cookery one...a crafty one!
This is it....
Ingredients...
3 different Colours (not shades of)
2 Brads
Something shiny
A handmade embellishment ( made by yourself)
and
1 word of text
Method
Mix together and display for all to see
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have used a brown (1 colour) crushed velvet effect backing paper from Funky Fairy's, a green (2nd colour) and brown ribbon with a metal slider (something shiny)...a pink (3rd colour) tag with the word 'Hugs' on it (1 word of text) and attached it with a brad (1 brad). Then my handmade embellishment is the flower...which I've made using the 'Build a Flower' stamp set from Funky Fairy's. Each petal and the centre are separate so you can make them up as you wish. I decided on the pointy petal and stamped it several times on white fabric netting. I've then inked over them with an Adirondack ink pad in Lettuce and cut them out...stuck the petals in two layers on the back of a centre and poked a BIG Dovecraft Brad (2nd Brad) through and added a few pink gems to balance the colours.
Voila...it's ready!!!

Winter
This weeks 'Florrie's ATC Challenge' on Craftswap was on the theme of Winter.
Here's mine...
The background is Nick Bantocks Turquoise smudged around with water and a spray of Oyster Glimmer Mist. The image was sent to me by Shaz from Funky Fairy's...and is 'snowbunnybella' from Stamping Bella. She has been coloured in with Sakura Souffle pens and glittered with Stickles (although I don't think you can see that very well)...Winter has been printed and the fluffy white wool wound round to blend with the fluff on her coat and boots ^.^
The new challenge starts tomorrow...or actually as it is now...today!!!
