Inspiration at Mo's...

Morning all...I wonder what the wonderful British weather has in store for us today?? It's 3am as I type so a bit early to tell lol.
This week for Mo's challenge Peggy gave us a picture to use as inspiration in our creations......and there is so (sew! ^.^) much going on in it...I had a ball :)
I used Lacie with her scrummy ice cream, and heaps of delicious colours :)
If you get a chance, take your cup of tea across to the other DT girls blogs...they've (as always) got some fabulous things to show you.
Have a lovely day x

I Did It!!

Nope...nothing spectacular to report, just that my Tim Holtz 'Shabby Vintage' papers arrived yesterday...the ones I've had my eye on for aaaages...but kept talking myself out of!! The ones that I spent most of yesterday stroking...the ones that tonight/this morning...I USED!!!!!!!! SHOCK!!! HORROR!!! They are definitely that sort of paper pack where you need to have two! ...Or perhaps my brother in law is right...perhaps I DO need to get out more!! lol
But, you know you're having fun when you look at the clock and it tells you that it's 4.15 in the morning...AGAIN!!!! Eeeek! ...It wasn't entirely MY fault...it was those papers and the image that were calling me!! ^.^

I have used Zei Prom from the Just Inklined range of digi stamps, and she is gorgeous. I just love her boots! I'm a terror for wearing mine...undone...all the time...not with a skirt though...but I think she looks great!
This is a tent card, and I've used nesties to take out the shape in the centre, backed it with acetate and then put the 'next size down label' (technical jargon!) back in the middle. IYKWIM :) Then used a smaller size still to make the tags.

Christmas Preparations!

This is another fabulous set in the Christmas Cracker range of die cut decoupage from La Pashe. It's called Christmas Preparations, and poor Mrs Claus has been left holding the sprouts...and the turkey...oh, and the pudding!!! Just where is Santa to help her?? He's disappeared at dinner time! Why do they do that? Lol

I've made a gate fold card and added a computer generated sentiment of my own.

From Daisy (aged 6) to Mo!

Yep...there is another Mo fan in the building...and she's snaffling my printed images!!!!!! *.*
Daisy's best friend in the whole wide world is Doodles, her little (he is now...he was bigger than her when she was a baby! lol) soft Labrador toy, and for those of you who know Daisy...he does everything and goes everywhere with her...still! He sits at the table to do colouring...and has his own paper and pencil, Hama beads...with his own tub of beads and peg board, playdoh...yep...you guessed it...he has his own...and he even sits in the bathroom with a book while she has a bath!! I'm sure in years to come he'll be in the bottom of her bag at secondary school...and tucked somewhere up her wedding dress on her wedding day! lol
Well anyway... It was Mo's birthday a little while ago and Daisy wanted to make her a card. What do I find her doing the other day?? Yes...there she was (...they were!) colouring in 'Buds' ... or the rechristened version...Daisy & Doodles!
She also coloured in little Lacie because she liked the look of her ice cream!! Although I guess we could have done with a girl version of Justin!! lol

Daisy and Doodles a couple of years ago...in Doodles more erm...good looking days!!! lol

Silent Night...

...and seems as it's 1.15 in the morning, it is very quiet here! Bliss :0)
I'm just loving these new die cut decoupage sheets from La Pashe, and I'm really not a decoupage kinda girl! I love the look and the overall effect of it, but I just don't like all the fiddly cutting out!
So, if you're like me...chuck away those tiny little scissors (Eeeek...minding where you chuck them of course!! *.*) and grab a few sheets of these instead ...you'll just love them!

These are from the Christmas Carol range and you can view them HERE ...

Ho Ho Ho...Ready To Go!!!

Anyone would think that Christmas was on it's way!! :)
In the office of La Pashe, things are different...they've swapped their tea and biccys for cocoa and mince pies, and instead of thinking caps...they have Santa hats!!! La Pashe have got some newbie Christmas things and you are just going to love them!
Here is one of the fabulous die cut decoupage images from the set 'Ready To Go'...isn't he just great?!!! There are 8 different sets to chose from and you can have a peek here ...
I've used my Krylon gold leaf pen around the edges, various punches, a nice shiny Santa hat brad, a piece of gold edged ribbon and a Stampin' Up! sentiment to finish it off...Simples!!!

This Little Fairy...is Mo's Challenge!

Good morning! :)
Ok...own up! Who pinched summer?? Huh? Huh? Which one of you was it? ... OR...was it that nawty fairy??? *.*
The grotty weather here has been a good excuse to do some crafting...even Daisy has been colouring and sticking! I'll pop her things on here tomorrow :)
This weeks challenge with Mo and her Digital Pencil has been set by our hostess for this monthPeggy, and she has given us the fabulous theme of...'Something with wings', (fairies, angels, bugs)
I was having one of my late night/early morning chit chats with Mo...and I was telling her that I was going to do a little mini book using her complete set of 5 Fairies for this weeks challenge. ''Oh, with a story'' asks Mo! Errmm ''maybe not'' says I ... ''A poem'' asks Mo! Hmmm... ''maybe a rhyme'' says I ...and the rest as 'they' say is...'fantasy'!! :0)
Mo need not worry about her book writing ...I don't think I'm much competition for her! Lol

We have special things with this challenge too!!
''And, for this challenge, we are kicking it up a few notches for something out of the box. From the entries this week, we'll be picking a guest designer to join us for the month of September.

In addition,
one lucky person will be chosen randomly to receive a $20 gift certificate to Mo's digi shop. That's two winners for this week's challenge. Great odds, friends.''
It's got to be worth playing along!! :) Have fun!!

Don't Faint!!

Yes...my blog has been 'Magnolia'd'!! Now, most of my nearest and dearest will know that I'm not a fan of these little guys ( I know, I know)...BUT... my dear friend Shaz, sent me a few images a while back and I have to say that whilst some of them were a smidging on the cute side...they went in a box for a rainy day!! *.*
Well... a couple of weeks back...it rained!!!! (as it is today... Hmmmph)
I needed an image to make a card for a friend, who is our school cook. She works hard, behind the scenes in the kitchen, and I think we all seem to forget the 'important ones'!! :) We are lucky enough to be one of the few primary schools with cooked dinners and they are really scrummy too!

Just Inklined Blog Hop!

Well here we are bright and early on a Monday morning, hop, hop, hopping! :)
Welcome to our blog hop at Just Inklined!
Grab a cuppa and a slice of toast, and if you've joined by kindly popping in to visit me...take a hop back to our host (and lovely boss lady! ^.^) Jak who is at the starting post. If you've just come from Karen then you're on the right track. We don't want you missing anything because we have images to be won along the way!
The theme that Jak chose for this hop is...Dots! Big dots, little dots, (no cardboard box today!! lol) dotty ribbon, dotty paper, gems, pearls...in fact...anything dotty, so you may be seeing dots by the time you've finished! :) I have made a card and matching candle (my tutorial for putting digi's on candles is here ) for friends of mine who got married yesterday. Now, being a civil wedding I was beginning to wonder what image to use...but fear not!!! Along came Just Inklined to the rescue with the perfect image!! This image is called 'Garter' and is available to purchase from here ...that is unless YOU are the lucky person who leaves a comment on this post and wins it for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!
All there is for me to say now is...Thank you for hopping by and hope you enjoyed your stay. The next stop is the lovely Debbie, who is our Guest DT member for August, and I just know she'll have something wonderful to show you x

Goodbye!

No, no...I'm not going anywhere...but our Reception teacher at school retired at the end of term. Mrs Davies had been at the school for almost 16 years, and although my girls have only been there for just over one, she'll be dearly missed. I've helped out with her class on many occasions and it's always been a pleasure, so I know I'm going to miss her around too.
She left the school a fabulous gift to remember her by...... a tricycle!! Not just any old tricycle, but a really robust, sturdy, BLUE tricycle to match school colours.
What better image to use on her card but Mo's gorgeous little Bye-Bye Boy image...And of course, his tricycle had to be blue! :)
