Tattered Lace Challenge Blog Candy!!

I'm back again!!!
I'm back to show you what I made today using the Tattered Lace Lavish Blooms Poppy dies and Lavish Leaves.... AND....if you're still with me at the bottom of my post...An EASTER SURPRISE awaits you!!!!! ;)
Our challenge this month on the Tattered Lace challenge blog is for your project to include Lavish Blooms...and there is still time for you to join us! :)
For those of you who own any of the Lavish Blooms, you'll know that each of the flowers have three dies to them...and they're a good size! Well, I decided to see if they'd cut shrink plastic...and in what kind of detail!! I was pleasantly surprised...the large and small plain ones cut brilliantly as expected...and the middle sized fancy one...also FAB!!
I think if I'd given them an extra shim and another pass they would have cut all the intricate pieces right out...but...I didn't think they'd heat so well then, so I left them as they were. I coloured a couple of pieces of scroll work and the centre with Copics...shrunk them with my heat gun...and voila!! Gorgeous little flowers!!
The large plain Poppies I flicked with a Copic from the centre out...shrunk...and then blotted the back of them with white acrylic paint.

What other perfect accompaniment for these scrummy flowers, but the very lovely brand new Basket die...also from Tattered Lace. I cut two from Kraft cardstock...leaving one of them 'as was' ...and triple embossed the other with pearlised embossing powder. I then layered the embossed basket on top of the Kraft one (slightly offset) and filled it with flowers and leaves...attached them to my circular easel card and added finishing touches of ribbon...a shrink plastic bow (die comes with the basket) and a shrunk fancy poppy as a stopper.

Now....the Easter Surprise bit....
If you would like to make some of these flowers...you'll need the Lavish Bloom dies!  Don't have them???
Do not worry....you have the chance of winning them!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Tasty Read... bag and book...

Elisabeth Bell has a digi DT call out which ends tonight, and these are two of the projects that I have entered. A lot of very talented artists have entered, so I'm not holding my breath, but it would be great to work with Elisabeth and her gorgeous images.

I bought a plain cotton shopping bag and added an image of 'A Tasty Read' by Elisabeth... which I printed onto transfer paper and coloured... stamped butterfly images (Stampin' Up!) ...a few pearls to match with the note book I made, and I also made a key ring from shrink plastic x

This was a 99p note book from Asda, which I pulled apart, covered and put back together with my Bind It All. I have used more of my scrummy papers from Tim Holtz, made my own lace flower that the blue rose is sitting in...oh and the bead pin and shrink charm too :)

I'm also going to enter this into

Cooking it Up with Katie - Make a flowery pink square
Creative Card Crew - Cute and Girlie
Dare U To Digi Stamp - Blooms and charms
Craftalicious - Pearls & Swirls

This weeks challenge, once again set by Sandy, is.... Anything but a Card...such an open playing field!

I have decorated a candle (I made a tutorial for putting digi images onto a candle here ) and I made a matching 'mobile phone charm' out of shrink plastic :)

Doodles...

No ... not my youngest daughter's little toy one...but MTTC challenge 'doodles'!! ^.^
They said...
This week's theme is 'Doodling'. Try adding some freehand drawing to your projects. Maybe something really simple or if you're feeling really brave perhaps try drawing your own image instead of using a rubber stamp! Get your felt tips at the ready and have loads of fun doodling!
As you can see...I wasn't feeling really brave!!

Week 21 Funky Fairy Challenge...

I am having huge internet problems at the moment. I haven't been able to get on here all day and it was sheer luck that I tried it and got on now...so I am putting this weeks challenge on quick in case I can't get back tomorrow!!

So...here we are...Week 21 already and it was our lovely Lulu's turn to set us thinking this week...
" to make a card/layout using no backing papers whatsoever! All backgrounds must either be stamped, inked, painted or chalked (for example) and any topper or embellishment must also be made using a rubber stamped design/image. The sentiment as well should be stamped and not printed from the computer or a rub-off. The only concession to paper/card that will be made, is for matting and layering purposes only".

I have used the heart border stamp, Funky Fairy no 5, the 'Hugs' sentiment which comes with Rags and my 2 sizes of Doodles for Daniel flowers... which I've done on shrink plastic!

Wishing you lots of inky, messy, stampin' fun!! ^.^
