Let it Snow.....

Hello one and all and.... December!!!!! Free Userbars    Own up...who let December out to play this early in the year???  At least it hasn't been too cold yet...well...that was until the Challenge at IndigoBlu launched in November! Winking Emoticons
The theme of 'Let it Snow' cooled us all down and has given us an excuse to play in our craft rooms, with all those yummy IndigoBlu Christmas stamps, frosty looking metallic paints and snowy looking gesso!
I decided to use the gorgeous Rockin' Robin stamp this time...with vellum and embossing powder. I then brayered a layer of IndigoBlu Snow White metallic paint over the top...and coloured the robin in with Distress Ink... and the occasional swirl too. I put the ribbon through my printer to get the Let It Snow wording in a snowflake font  Free Avatars

Have a great weekend everyone...happy crafting x

A Touch of Elegance.........

Good morning all :)
Wow!! It's July!!! Which means that we're half way through 2014!  What happened to the first 6 months?? They've whizzed by!  In another 6 months Christmas will be over and we'll be starting a New Year!!! Eeeek!!!
Moving swiftly on Lol .............................. ;)

Thank you to everyone who took part in the June challenge at Tattered Lace...it was great to see so many fab creations for the Guys.

Our theme for July is....Elegance.... an easy one as far as Tattered Lace dies are concerned! The hardest part is choosing which dies to use!! :)
Soooo...after a few cups of coffee and several stages of whittling down...I chose ....

Dies used:
Over the Edge Baroque....
Corset...
Doily Corner dies...
The 'belly band' was made with
Beloved Borders
Chantilly Bow (small)
AND
One of the brand new Tattered Lace embossing Folders - Rose Garden

The background was embossed with one of the gorgeous BRAND NEW Tattered Lace embossing folders... I used vellum to make it more delicate looking...then edged with Pan Pastels for that elegant pink touch...as have the Doily corners.
Inside this criss cross card I have cut two of the Corsets, gathered Tulle and sandwiched it between the layers. To finish it off I've added two of the beautiful diamante flowers from Tattered Lace and also a few single Diamante.

I hope you'll come and join us for the Tattered Lace challenge this month...you'll find it hard to make something other than elegant with these stunning dies!!  :)

Happy Crafting

Coffee Time ...

Yuk, yuk, yuk....what a miserable day here in the South of England!! But I suppose it is Autumn... and I know our friends out in Australia would dearly love this amount of rain right now x
Daisy had a 'duvet day' today as her school had an inset day... which was good with me as I had a quick tidy on my desk...and then....untidied it all over again!! :)
Today's card sets the scene of a little coffee house :)  Coffee?? Me?? Nah!!! Lol
Using a gorgeous Lily of the Valley image...Tim Holtz 'Wall' embossing folder...Marianne Lamp post die...La La Land Fence die...tiny blossoms from WOC...and a Spellbinder window......here it is x

Take care all x

Heartfelt Flowers....

Hi all...from a nice sunny and 'warmish' South of England :)
This is a card I made using the Heartfelt dies and stamps. I absolutely love making something from scrap...and these flowers started life as a scrap piece of half inked vellum.
The Sun Kissed Fleur flowers were stamped... embossed in white...cut with the matching dies...shaped and then edged with gold embossing powder.
I've used Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals one as the center layers with a sentiment from Inkylicious.

Book folding....

Sooo...you go away on holiday...can't take your craft room...but get that urge to play with paper!?!  So did I!! :)

This started out life as a hardback book which was just calling to be altered! :)

I folded all the pages on holiday and when I got back finished it off by inking the edges...stamping and embossing the inside covers and . I thought it kind of looked ballet dressish...so added a Prima wedding stamped lady to the spine and added a ribbon around the 'waist' x

Silent Night...

...and seems as it's 1.15 in the morning, it is very quiet here! Bliss :0)
I'm just loving these new die cut decoupage sheets from La Pashe, and I'm really not a decoupage kinda girl! I love the look and the overall effect of it, but I just don't like all the fiddly cutting out!
So, if you're like me...chuck away those tiny little scissors (Eeeek...minding where you chuck them of course!! *.*) and grab a few sheets of these instead ...you'll just love them!

These are from the Christmas Carol range and you can view them HERE ...
