2 x 50 =

These!!! ^.^

It's been a little while since I made a 50th birthday card...and over the last week I've made two...both for today ^.^

The orange paper is from the Cool Co-ordinates range from Funky Fairy's and has been mounted onto silver mirri card. The very lovely Lotus car is a printed image...I hope they don't mind...but hey...I'll not charge them for advertising ^.^

This one has a gorgeous black and white striped paper from ....... my desk *.*
I'll get back to you with that! ^.^
...and the flower has been made with the Funky Fairy 'Build a Flower' stamp set.

A VERY Happy 50th Birthday to both...

And a Happy Birthday to Lesley for today too xxx

Sunday Stampers - week 2

Sunday Stampers theme this week is Black and White. It's a challenge using inky and stampy ingredients! (I'm into this recipe lark a the moment, have you noticed?? ) ^.^
The base cardstock has been covered with paper from Raspberry Road Designs, to which I have smudged a Charcoal chalk ink pad around the edge...onto that I have put white linen effect card. On top of that is a piece of glossy card to which I have 'splodged' black alcohol ink.
The large dotty flower has been made with the 'Build a Flower' stamp kit from Funky Fairy's and the center flower (from doodles for daniel) has been stamped onto vellum and curled to match the large one. I have added tiny white beads to the middle of the small flower to finish it off.
The butterfly has been stamped and cut out twice, layered and curled also. Best Wishes has been stamped onto white card, matted onto black and stuck down with a piece of black and white spotty ribbon to finish the card off.

Ribbons and Rubbish!!!

Following on from the bottle top saga of last night...I had 10 minutes of fun this afternoon while Daisy was having a Playdoh moment!
Good job I wash the recycling well before putting it out as I needed a few more 'gifts' like the one OH gave me last night! I managed to retrieve another 7 can ring pulls and another baked bean ring pull !!!
All of the ring pulls have been heat embossed with 2 layers of coloured powders each...then had ribbons tied on. The large flower is the 'Build a Flower' from Funky Fairy, which has been stamped onto K&Co Dollshouse paper, cut out and arranged in two x 5 petal layers. The bottle top in the centre has a cut out flower and then a layer of Diamond Glaze added. After 20 mins drying time I added a pearl bead to the centre ...that way it didn't move about. The butterfly body is a stamped image of one of the petals from the same Build a flower kit...then the ring pulls added for wings ^.^
It's nothing special but it kept me out of trouble for a while Roll

My 'Not So' Secret Recipe!

I was asked if I'd set the Fat Book Challenge on Craftswap Forum for this fortnight, so I decided we would have a recipe this time...but no...not a cookery one...a crafty one!
This is it....

Ingredients...
3 different Colours (not shades of)
2 Brads
Something shiny
A handmade embellishment ( made by yourself)
and
1 word of text

Method
Mix together and display for all to see

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have used a brown (1 colour) crushed velvet effect backing paper from Funky Fairy's, a green (2nd colour) and brown ribbon with a metal slider (something shiny)...a pink (3rd colour) tag with the word 'Hugs' on it (1 word of text) and attached it with a brad (1 brad). Then my handmade embellishment is the flower...which I've made using the 'Build a Flower' stamp set from Funky Fairy's. Each petal and the centre are separate so you can make them up as you wish. I decided on the pointy petal and stamped it several times on white fabric netting. I've then inked over them with an Adirondack ink pad in Lettuce and cut them out...stuck the petals in two layers on the back of a centre and poked a BIG Dovecraft Brad (2nd Brad) through and added a few pink gems to balance the colours.
Voila...it's ready!!! Perfecto
