Welcome Home!!

Yay! I've managed to get here again!! Nothing for ages and then two posts in as many days!! ^.^
Today starts a new challenge with Mo and her Digital Pencil...and this week Lisa has given us the theme of 'Shades of Grey'!
To start with it seemed that 'challenge' was the right word, but you know...once you get going it actually grows on you! :)
When I first saw this image from Mo, (Young Love) it immediately shouted 'Mum and Dad's Christmas card' at me...but then things kind of went pear shaped and Christmas was spent with both of them being in hospital, and of course on different wards, so it wasn't really the same. However, Mum came home last week, and Dad...after 7 weeks...is coming home tomorrow!! So what better way to say 'Welcome Home' to them both than to use this fab image. It'll be lovely to see them both back together...after all, I think this is the longest that they've ever been apart in 57 (and a half!...very important ^.^ ) years of marriage!!Papers - Stampin' Up! - Nouveux Chic

Fab 'n' Funky...

Gee, I've missed my crafting!! Time has been flying by, and whenever I do manage to sit down at my craft desk...the phone rings, I feel I should be ironing etc, the children need something...or I can't seem to make a thing!!! :o(
BUT...help was at hand! This weeks challenge at Fab 'n' Funky is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique, and they offered the DT a digi image of our choice to work with!! How lucky??? ^.^ The only problem with that was choosing ONE!!!! Eeeek! If you haven't seen all the fantastic images they have then go and have a peek...and join us in our challenge this week!! Now, I'm not really sure that this was the best time to choose an image for a male card (which I always struggle with!) but hey... it's such a great image and I just had to have it!! :)
I have used Nesties to cut an aperture in the card and made a 'spinner' with the coloured image. The papers are from the Sweet pad from DCWV but the train track like pattern seemed to go nicely!I'm going to sneek back to my craft desk now...ssshhhhh!!! ^.^

A Snow Baby!

This weeks challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil is a sketch designed by my DT mate Lisa, who is our challenge host for January :) My neighbour had a baby girl on Tuesday and this is the card that I have made for them. Not the usual 'New Baby' sort of image I guess, but given the weather we've had recently, this little one is definitely a little 'snow baby'!!!I also made them a 'nappy cake'...my first attempt, but I'm really pleased with it :)

Well...we've awoken to another huge helping of snow, here in Surrey this morning!! Just as we were all starting to get from A to B again too! So, with the schools closed, and even the children bored of playing in the snow...I feel a crafting session coming on! :0)
Anyway...before I disappear, I'd better do what I came on to do!! This week the Fab 'n' Funky challenge blog has moved!! We have started a new blog 'HERE' ...but are still the same Fab 'n' Funky team :0)

Mo's Challenge #13...Birthdays!

Unfortunately, I had to let my team mates, on Mo's challenge blog, down this week :o( With everything going on with my parents etc I didn't get a chance to craft! Then the 'white stuff' arrived, and although I was grounded for a while, and the girls were off school...they just seemed to be in and out of the garden...in and out of wet and dry clothes...and inbetween all that...they were hungry!!! tut!!! ;o)
Anyway, last night I managed to find the bottom of my craft desk!! Yay me! So, although it's late...here's my card for this weeks challenge x
Before I go, I thought I'd share with you a little bit of colour in amongst all the white that we in the UK have got right now...So pretty!!! Recycled Icicles...
This is where a huge icicle has been dripping! The splashes have frozen! ... And so did this plant!!!

Closing Down!!!

Sadly for us...but totally understandable from Shaz's corner... Funky Fairy's Papercrafts are closing their doors. Shaz is taking time out to concentrate on her family life...and hopefully have time for a bit of crafting too!! :) I for one am really going to miss FFP... Shaz, and her papers became a huge part of my crafting life, and I know I'll still be hitting the 'print' button!!
Shaz will be putting the bolt across the door tonight so quick!!! Get your wings on for the last time and fly across to the shop to pick up some fabulous cut price goodies!! Can you believe that the fantastical Pinkie Pops is at an all time low price of £2!!!!!
Don't forget the FFInspirations blog too...there are the 'Freebies' over there and that will also close tonight.
