Week 22 Funky Fairy Challenge....
Well it's Bank Holiday Monday here in the UK and as usual not the best of weather! So what we all need is a nice Summer challenge to cheer us up!!!
Yes...the Funky Fairy challenge, set by our lovely Karen this week, is SUMMER!
''The new challenge is to create something summer-themed: I'm thinking summer colours, summer images, totally hot!''
I have gone for yummy summery colours. I have used blue and green backing paper from the Basics collection.
'Doodles for Daniel' flowers were stamped and cut out of a freebie paper from the Inspiration blog...
and the tiny flower was stamped to look like stems...I bet you're all saying - good job you told us that !!! ^.^
I have attached the large flowers with a clear button center using my mini tagger...one of those 'must have' items that has been used....twice now!! ^.^
Have fun.........

Week 21 Funky Fairy Challenge...
I am having huge internet problems at the moment. I haven't been able to get on here all day and it was sheer luck that I tried it and got on now...so I am putting this weeks challenge on quick in case I can't get back tomorrow!!
So...here we are...Week 21 already and it was our lovely Lulu's turn to set us thinking this week...
" to make a card/layout using no backing papers whatsoever! All backgrounds must either be stamped, inked, painted or chalked (for example) and any topper or embellishment must also be made using a rubber stamped design/image. The sentiment as well should be stamped and not printed from the computer or a rub-off. The only concession to paper/card that will be made, is for matting and layering purposes only".
I have used the heart border stamp, Funky Fairy no 5, the 'Hugs' sentiment which comes with Rags and my 2 sizes of Doodles for Daniel flowers... which I've done on shrink plastic!
Wishing you lots of inky, messy, stampin' fun!! ^.^

Sarah Kay...
A real 'blast from the past'!!
I love the Sarah Kay images and apparently they are coming out as stamps fairly soon! Our wonderful Funky Fairy - Shaz, has downloaded some fabulous colouring images and cleaned them up to use in the meantime...Thanks Shaz xxx
I have watercoloured her with a mixture of Stampin' Up! watercolour crayons and Marvy pens.
The background papers are from the wonderful 'Basics' paper collection from Funky Fairy...300 basic, always needed papers! A fab collection...which is also available on CD.
The scallops and circles are punched with Stampin' Up! punches and dotted with white pen...also SU!

Envelope, Insert and Finished Birthday Book
Phew!! I've finally finished my envelope for Team 3's Birthday Book on Craftswap Forum! WoooHooo!! ^.^
For those who think I've totally lost the plot (No, that doesn't include those of you who know I have!! :0) ) ...The Forum has just been celebrating it's 2nd Birthday, and we have made envelope books, which will be auctioned (on the forum), for charity on Monday the 19th May.
Craftswap forum supports the Lymphoma Association .
It was chosen at a time when our dear forum friend Susie, was fighting the condition. Sadly Susie passed away last April, but I hope that like last year, we can make lots of money from this, and all the other fabulous team books, to help the charity in their hard work of finding a way to prevent others from losing their fight.
Those who wished to take part, were divided into teams, and each team was given a theme on which to base their book.
The teams decided on size of envelope...whether to make them landscape or portrait...and Team Leader.
Our team was given 'Childhood' as a theme...and chose C6, portrait and...ME as Team Leader!! *.*
This is my envelope and insert...
The envelope was hand made using a sheet of 12x12 paper...not sure where from :o/ Then a variety of embellishments were used to decorate the front (which would normally be the back).
The back was decorated with DCWV 'Once Upon A Time' paper... Linda's Unicorn stamp (check out her blog...it's fab! And her stamps, available to buy, are fantastic!!) ...and a fairy castle (unknown)
The insert front is made of mountboard...covered with paper from the Funky Fairy's 'Basic' collection to which I printed poem that I found. I've them stamped a teddy from Suzi's Zoo , watercoloured him and glazed his heart and nose...then inked round the edge.
The back has been covered in the same design, but different colourway of paper. I've stamped the teddy design twice...one direct on the backing and one on the brown paper. I've cut out the brown one and adhered it over the first. The sentiment has been stamped onto the same brown paper with Timber Brown Stazon ...cut out and inked round the edge with a chalk ink.
The little red hearts were stuck randomly to finish.
These are the covers that I made, using a couple of my favourite Stampin' Up! stamps... 'Summer by The Sea' ...and watercolour crayons...
And this is the finished book...
Well done Team 3 x x x

Busy Little Bees....part 2
Well...here are the finished envelopes that my little people made for the Junior Birthday Book on Craftswap Forum! I think they all did soooooo brilliantly...but then I would say that ^.^
The charity that the Juniors have chosen is Linda E's charity for Tia...so come on forum members help the Juniors book make lots of pennies xxx
They decorated both sides of a C5 envelope...and made an insert to go with it...
Emily...
Emily has done fireworks on the flap side...and a Funky Fairy rocket on the other! The insert has been decorated with the 'Seeing Spots' wheel from Stampin' Up! ... a planet was made from a double layered circle with bits of the edge missing from the top one (using a circle punch) , and two fabby little Funky Fairy aliens.

One side of Katieann’s envelope was covered in scenic paper, and then decorated with die cuts and punched flowers. The other side is similar but has a very special hand drawn gardener!
The insert has been totally drawn by her (with a couple of stamped rabbits and a cat!! :0) ) …...And Daisy…
Well, Daisy has had a thoroughly fab time with Emily’s ink pads!!! ^.^
She has done everything herself …apart from the gluing of the balloon strings! I did those or we may have had more strings than envelope! ^.^
The insert has flowers, punched by Daisy’s own fair hands (Doodlementals paper), more balloons… and when she saw the helicopter die cut…it had to make an appearance!! Uncle Andy has just gone back overseas and so that’s for him x x x

Busy Little Bees....part 1
On Craftswap forum, some of us are making 'envelope books' to celebrate the Forum's 2nd birthday, which was the 17th April. There are teams of mainly 6 people and each team has a theme...an envelope size...and makes the decision of landscape or portrait. These will be auctioned off on the forum to raise money for the Forums chosen charities.
Following last years great success, we have again got a Junior Team...this is made up of children, and grandchildren of forum members.
My three youngest children are taking part again this year, and today they have been busy bees working away at their envelopes ... here they are...
Part 2 will hopefully be here tomorrow!! ^.^
