Go Masculine !

Good morning!

This week at Mo's the challenge set was to 'Go Masculine' ! One of those themes that we all gasp at!! Yep...the MEN folk!! Yikes!!

Mo has heaps of images for the males in our lives...from baby right up to the 'older' generation! If you need any inspiration nip across to the challenge blog and have a peek at what the DT have done....their work is fabulous x

This weeks challenge at Fab'n'Funky is to use NO designer papers!!!! Eeeek!!

I'm not sure why that's so scary as there are so many ways of creating backgrounds...I guess we just get used to reaching for our trusty old papers! You can emboss...dry or heat, ink...alcohol or brayer, stamp...roller or random, the list goes on!

I have used a Cuttlebug folder and a Stampin' Up! sentiment and stamp, with a few flowers and a charm (ok, earring drop) for a simple but effective birthday card.

This week at Mo's we're cooking! No pots or pans required, and definitely NO washing up! Yay!

Peggy set the challenge, as our host for April, and the ingredients are...

1 piece of ribbon

2 buttons or brads

3 different designer papers

Method...

Mix them up and create something scrummy!

I have used the gorgeous I Dunno image from Mo and her Digital Pencil...2 papers from Stampin' Up! (don't know about the other one!) ... 2 tulip buttons...and a piece of dotty, yellow ribbon.

Neglected Stash!!

Good morning :)

Another glorious day... and another Fab'n'Funky challenge for you all! Last week we all dug out a neglected stamp...this week we'll take it a step further and get you to dig out your...neglected stash of crafting goodies!!

Now, if you're anything like me...you'll have enough to make dozens of cards!!! :0)

I've used a buried Cuttlebug folder...a couple of punches from the bottom of my punch drawer...a lovely sentiment stamp...and some ribbon from a brand new roll, that I bought 3 years ago when a shop closed where I used to live!! Yes, yes...I really did NEED it right then!!! ^.^

La Pashe Spring Hop!

Good Morning :0)

Well...today brings back 'normality' to the household! Easter has been and gone...the holidays have been and gone, the girls have gone back to school, and the dreaded clock rules us once again! Tut.

Never mind...the sun is shining and it's time to go hopping with La Pashe again! Yip! This month the theme is....Spring!

Now, as you probably know...there are only the three of us (and Jak ^.^ ) in the La Pashe DT, so if you only have half a cup of coffee left, you'll still have time to have a quick hop round! :0)

Happy Birthday Mum!

Today is my...ok, and my sister's...Mum's 79th birthday! There's not actually a hope that she'll be on here to read this but...'Happy Birthday' anyway :0)

This is another of the cards that I made for her, this time using the sketch from this weeks challenge at Cutie Sunday.

Now as some of my Facebook friends will know, I had a bit of a problem last night with the colouring of this image...SOMETHING wouldn't let me use my Prismacolor pencils!!! *.*

Bloomin' nerve! I don't let the children near my Prisma's, they are my 'other' babies...so what on earth gave him the idea he could???? !!!!!! Now don't be thinking that I just throw them in there...the blank end ones just haven't been used YET!!! :0)

Well...the kitchen calls...Daisy and I are going to make Grandma/Great Grandma a birthday cake now :0)

Fab'n'Funky - Neglected!

Morning!

No...we at Fab'n'Funky aren't 'neglected'...but our theme this week is neglected stamps!

Well I had a rummage through mine and found the lovely Primrose stamp which was designed by my good friend Linda Luckin. It's my Mum's birthday on Friday so I have a few cards to make, and this is one of them.

I'm entering this into the Flutter by Wednesday challenge this week...the theme is open but you must use either a butterfly, a fairy or an angel.

Right then...onward! Just remembered that Daisy has a joint birthday party to go to on Sunday...so two more cards required! Best get crafting :)

A Flippin' Male Card!

Well, the weather was glorious again this morning BUT...it's now gone very dull looking out there! sob... Never mind, plenty of crafting to do indoors :0)

Mo's Challenge #26 - Colour Combo

It's Thursday again, and that means...it's Mo challenge time!! :0)This week Peggy has set us the challenge of a colour combo...Black, White & Kraft. My first thought was eeek! ...but actually it's a really fab combo. My DT card is a gate fold, using the gorgeous little 'Monday's Child' from the boys collection. Card stock is all from Stampin' Up! - Basic Black...Whisper White and Kraft.

Fab 'n' Funky...Neopolitan

Good morning!
I just want to start by wishing my Emily 'A Very Happy 15th Birthday' ...hope you have a fabulous day sweetie x
Now, this week we (the Fab'n'Funky 'we' ) thought you might be fed up with bucket loads of chocolate (yeah right!! lol), so we decided to dilute it down a bit by adding Strawberry and Vanilla, to make.....Neopolitan!! Yep...this week we'd like to see your 'Neopolitan' colour combo projects! Yum!!I decided to make something different to a card this week and altered a plain old photo frame instead. I was quite pleased with it...but obviously not as pleased as someone...who may remain nameless...(eldest daughter!!) ...who has since decided it would look better in her room!!!!!!!!! *.*
I have used the fabulous rubber tapestry stamps from La Pashe to do the branches of blossoms in the corner... and the background blossoms on the 'chocolate' card stock. I have also used the brand new Bird Punch from the Stampin! Up! mini catalogue which is now out!!

Mo's Challenge #25 - Pastels

Morning...and Happy April Fools Day! What a lovely change in the weather!!! Beautiful sunshine today..yay!!!
A new month and a new host for Mo's challenges...and this time it's Peggy who's setting the themes. She's chosen the theme of Pastels this week...and what a fab day to get all those scrummy pastel colours out too!!
