This weeks House Mouse challenge is to use lace on your project...

We would like to see the use of lace on your projects, this could be paper lace, frilly lace a shoe lace!! Just let your imagination go wild!!

The white card and shine from the Souffle pens, has made my bad photography look even worse on this card, so sorry for the picture quality ...

♥ I have used papers from Funky's Garden and Stampin' Up! brads...along with the key element...lace...from my stash ♥

Tag Your Punched Art!

The challenge over at 'Tag, You're it' - this week is to use punched art on your tag.

Linda's beautiful bluebell has made another appearance...but I've used it on something Linda probably never will...PINK!!!!!
♥ I have used Stampin' Up! Pixie Pink on mount board as a base and then stamped a... brand new release...Funky Fairy flower image onto that, in Gold Brilliance. The bluebell has been stamped in black Stazon and coloured using Faded Jeans and Pine Needles distress inks. Then the punched flowers have been made by layering various sizes of the sunburst punch with beads to finish them off ♥

Talented Friends - Part 2!!

I'm sure you've all seen the lovely big sunflower over on the right hand side of my blog...well that belongs to another dear friend of mine ...Linda Luckin She has some stunning new stamp designs and a wonderful blog

This is a card I made with one of her beautiful new flower stamps... Bluebell...
♥ I have used a piece of mount board and covered it with Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood distress ink...stamped the image...watercoloured it using Faded Jeans and Pine Needles and mounted it on Once Upon a Time papers ♥
I absolutely adore bluebells...they so remind me of when I was small!! Yep...that's me in the white coat with my sister! :)

Talented Friends - Part 1...

Dee...I did it!!!! ^.^
Yes!! I have to shamefully put my hands up and say that I've never done any Iris folding before...EVER!!!!!!
I have been promising Dee, for soooooooo long that I'd have a go, and after paying her a visit at Bridlington on Saturday, where both Dee and her hubby Graham, had a table full of inspiration at a craft shop they were demoing in...I dashed home..ok...drove the 2+ hours home, and set to work on said project!
Here it is...and look Graham...I even got sparkle!!!!!!!! ^.^ After looking at my friend She's blog...I see that she set this fortnight's challenge of 'Christmas' on the Craftswap Forum's { I can't get on at the moment } 'Anything Goes' challenge ...so I will put this in x

Dee sells the card kits and also the strips in different finishes on her site...Deecraft...The glitter strips are amazing!! But...there is one huge problem!!! Choosing which designs to get...you'll want them ALL!!!! ^.^ It was great to see you both again xxx

Funky Fairy's # 30!!

It's Monday again!! It's raining again!! So I can't think of a better way to spend the day other than to craft!! Yeahhh!!

This fortnight's challenge on Funky Fairy's has been set by our lovely Meayla...and she would like us to make something using our initial or name!

I decided to make a sign for my craft room door ^.^ I have used papers from the Funky Fairy's 'Pinks' collection...and what's more...it's FREE!!!!!

Our Creative Corner...

...has a sketch for their challenge this week... I have used Bazzill card stock, Anna Griffin paper and a Penny Black butterfly as my embellishment...and once again I have no ideas about the flower and butterfly stamp that's been stamped on the Bazzill!! Doh!
Oh and I used my Stampin' Up! corner rounder to make the scallop edge ...

It's All In The Words...

The Tanda Teaser this week is 'All In The Words' ...

''We want to see cards with words used as the main part of the card. There are no restrictions on what you use, you do not to have to use Tanda stamps, but it would be nice - you don't have to be a stamper either, just use whatever you have in your stash in whatever style you fancy!!''

I bought the stamp unmounted from Ebay, so I have no idea whose it is...well...apart from mine that is!! ^.^
The same goes for the flourish...my friend She sent it to me along with some lovely fairy stamps a year or so ago...but...there's good news for the tiny flower!!! That's from Stampin Up! :0)
♥ I have used Brilliance ink pads to stamp the images...and then colour washed over the text with the same orange Brilliance. I have dotted SU! Dazzling Diamonds Glitter in the middle of the flowers, although it's not showing up too well in the picture...too late at night I think!! ^.^ ♥

No Patterned Paper!!

*Gasp*
Is the challenge on Arty Girlz this week!

''This weeks challenge is 'no patterned paper' eek but don't panic too much because this doesn't mean that you can't make your own patterned paper using stamps or doodling or from other resources etc it just means NO shop bought designer patterned paper so go and have fun :) ''

here is my effort...

I have used plain white cardstock for a base. Onto that I have randomly splodged (technical term!) Tattered Rose and Old Paper distress ink, and wiped over damp kitchen towel. The script stamp is by Stampin' Up! and I've used Timber Brown Stazon. The 'lady reading' image has also been stamped in Timber Brown Stazon onto an Old Paper splodged white base. A piece of ribbon and a couple of Prima flowers finish it off x

Windmill Weather!!

My goodness!!! How windy and wet is it out there today??? It's like winter!!
Appropriately for the weather today...and whilst looking for something else... I found a template for a windmill!!
Katieann and I sneaked off to see what they came out like, while the others were watching a film...here they are... The bud vase was something that Kayleigh asked if I wanted when she returned home last week...she was going to throw it out!!!
It was a shiny dark brown colour ...not now!!!!!!!! Three coats of acrylic paint...some Dazzling Diamonds and a piece of ribbon later, we have......this!!

The Two of Us.....

This week on Cute Card Thursday, the challenge theme is... 'The Two of Us'....
We would like you to use two of something on your card, it could be 2 people, 2 animals or 1 of each, we love to see your own interpretation as always!

I have combined my card with the new sketch from Sketch Saturday ... I have used papers from the Pinkie Pops collection by Funky Fairy's Papercrafts ...and a gorgeous cute stamp image, which I've water coloured and used Flower Soft in her bouquet and hair ...

Sprinkles!

The challenge over at Daring Cardmakers this week is 'Sprinkles'

They said...
If you'd like to join in and play along then create a card using some teeny weeny dots/spots to represent little sprinkles. You might add a splash of french knots, beads, small sequins or bling, teeny buttons, hand drawn dots, paint splotches or think up something else thats teeny, tiny and sprinkled.

I have made a card for a friend of one of my daughters, whose birthday it is today :0) Background papers are from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts -Pinkie Pops collection (which have tiny dots)...Swiss dots folder used on white card (more tiny dots!) and a Cherished Teddy image water coloured and mounted on pink Bazzill. I have added a piece of pink ribbon and ...lickle tiny gems dotted about for extra sprinkles :0)

**Celebration! ** Challenge 29

The challenge for this fortnight on Funky Fairy's ...was set by our very own Funky Fairy...Shaz.
Shaz says...
''I would like this weeks challenge to be CELEBRATION which could be birth, life, wedding, birthday, party ...anything at all to do with celebration.''
Shaz chose this particular theme in honour of her son Dan...whose birthday was on the 31st July x

I made this (somewhat late! ) for Kayleigh's 18th birthday...but she still can't have it yet as the 'My Sisters' page is to be finished ... my printer ran out of ink!! ...tut...
I have used the fabby Doodlementals kit - which is FREE from the Inspirations blog
** Because Funky Fairy's Papercrafts give a prize to one random winner every week...we do ask that your entry is made JUST for the Funky Fairy's challenge AND that you use a Funky Fairy product in your creation somewhere. It can be a stamp or download...and there are HEAPS of fantastic FREE downloads on the Inspiration blog ...Thank you x
